Spring Break!

Over Spring Break we had a game day... we played mostly spoons, but the boys also played some basketball. Here's Michael showing off: Ooops!! Hehehehe.Aren't they cute??

We're going to plan summer events like this one... maybe some swimming, bowling, go carts. Stay tuned for details!

Announcements for 3/22/09

Ok, so I'm late again. Sorry!!

We have the Amazing Race on April 26 right after the 11am worship service. Bring a lunch with a drink... we'll eat real quick and then get started with the game! Ya'll will be split up into teams and then head off with a driver. You must complete road blocks and detours while figuring out clues to get you from destination to destination. It'll be fun!! This year's camp theme is City of Heroes. The dates are June 8-12. We're doing a couple of car washes and collecting cans to raise money for camp... we'll also discuss a couple of other fun raisers this Wednesday.

We'll also be getting ready to teach on Sunday tomorrow night. We have some painting to do. And we'll do our Interactive Bible study. Fun stuff!! Hope to see ya'll tomorrow night. If you need a ride call me or Daniel M.

Announcements for 3/15/09

OK, so I'm late for this week's announcements. Sorry. I'm busy.

First, camp is coming up-- June 8-12. It'll be fun so plan to come.

Second, we're planning for our next Sunday to teach children's church. The topic is prayer. It's also the Sunday that we're planning open house so come and help out! We'll be constructing a mural and doing a play with the kids. We'll also be singing some songs for open house (the kids will be singing, of course... we're just helping them sing).

Lastly, tomorrow we're having an off-the-cuff game day (thanks, Bobby!!). It's at 2pm. Bring supper and yourself. I think we might play spoons all afternoon... fun stuff. If you're in school, come whenever you get out of school. And as ALWAYS call if you need a ride!!!

Children's Church

It was our turn yesterday to teach children's church. We made a mural with the kids and then acted out the Wedding at Cana. Daniel played Jesus (HUGE stretch there!) I was Mary and we had 3 brides, a groom and a servant! We also did a lot of singing to get ready for Easter. Thanks to everyone who helped! Make sure to come next Sunday as we plan to teach Prayer to the kids.

Camp is coming up! The theme is City of Heroes and the dates are June 8-12, 2009. Stay tuned for info on fund raisers.

Our next Youth Event is April 26, 2009 after the Sunday Services. The theme is Amazing Race. Once again, ya'll will each need to bring your own lunch, but snacks and drinks will be provided.

We'll be getting back into the book of John this Wednesday night. We'll also have ice cream. You really can't beat that... ice cream and John! Hope to see everyone then. If you need a ride call me or Daniel.

The Wedding at Cana

It's our Sunday to teach the kids. The topic: The Wedding at Cana. This is where Jesus turned water into wine. We're going to make a huge mural with the kids during the first segment. We'll also be bowling with the kids and teaching them the songs for Easter. Come this Sunday at 10:00am to help out!
